What is a Content Management System (CMS)?
A Content Management System is software that allows you to update your website content via either a desktop application or a browser-based WYSIWYG editor.
Why do I need a CMS?
Traditionally, if you (the website owner) wanted to change the content on your website, you may have to pay a web design agency to do it for you. With a CMS you can make the changes whenever you require, free of charge. The main benefits include:
- The ability to update the words, images and prices on your website whenever you require
- Updating your site is totally free if done with a CMS!
- You can even create new pages, change page names and even delete old pages
- Add your own meta tags to help your organic Search Engine Optimisation (SEO)
But what if I'm not very technical?
Not a problem. Our CMS solutions (yes, we have a few different ones depending on your needs!) allows for non-technical users. If you've ever used Microsoft Word, then you can use our WYSIWYG editor. We'll even give you a quick demo over the phone of how to use it.
